This week, we are dedicating our newsletter to Charlie Kirk, who was tragically murdered this Wednesday on the 10th of September. Just 31 years old, Charlie was more than a prominent figure in America’s conservative movement – he was a role model to many young people, a powerful voice in public life, and, most importantly, a devoted husband and father.
Charlie’s devastating passing has cast a dark shadow over America, in addition to the wider Western world. Our prayers are with the family he has left behind, and we wish him eternal peace in the presence of God.

Charlie Kirk, Requiescat in Pace
In her essay Charlie Kirk, Requiescat in Pace, Aline Derlagen reflects on Kirk’s life and legacy as a champion of dialogue and free speech. She situates his death within a broader climate of rising hostility toward conservatives and Christian values, recalling her own experiences of censorship and intimidation at university. Derlagen argues that Charlie’s assassination marks a turning point in the escalating violence against the right, and closes with a reminder of his faith and the biblical promise: “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”.
