Political déjà vu ensues when Syrian Muslim terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie murdered two men and injured three more at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester. Labour’s umpires of liberal multiculturalism continue to condemn antisemitism and Islamophobia in the same breath, implying that an unnamed third party — no doubt the white British — are to blame. Conservative MPs including Robert Jenrick, Claire Couthino, and Nick Timothy instead question the prudence of recreating Middle Eastern PVP maps in Britain’s major cities. It turns out that importing populations from countries where Mein Kampf is on sale at train stations leads to attacks on Jews.
The politicians courageous enough to criticise Islam at the expense of their safety should be commended. But many continue to split hairs between a hypothetical “peaceful Muslim” majority and a violent “Islamist” minority (with the prophet Muhammad presumably falling into the latter category). A week after 9/11, President George W. Bush said: “The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace.” In 2014, President Obama declared, “ISIL is not ‘Islamic’. No religion condones the killing of innocents.” In 2017, after the London Bridge attack, former Prime Minister Theresa May said: “The recent attacks are … bound together by the single, evil ideology of Islamist extremism that preaches hatred, sows division, and promotes sectarianism. It is an ideology that claims our Western values of freedom, democracy and human rights are incompatible with the religion of Islam. It is an ideology that is a perversion of Islam and a perversion of the truth.” The government’s counter-extremism programme Prevent continues to insist that Islamism “should not be interpreted as a reference to individuals who follow the religion of Islam”.
The attempt to condemn “political Islam” presupposes someone’s comprehensive metaphysical doctrine of good and evil can ever be divorced from their politics. It tries to confine Islam to a purely private matter of, as historian Tom Holland described, “the inner relationship of a believer to the divine”, with no more consequential expression than exotic cuisine and clothing. Those doing so display their ignorance of Islamic doctrine. Such ignorance is by design: a network of da’wah activists, charities, and politicians have laundered Jihadist ideas through British culture and institutions for decades. Naïve liberals have been misled into promoting Islam as a “religion of peace”. One need only read Islam’s core texts to know it preaches violence against unbelievers, and the subjugation of all non-Muslims as second-class citizens under a Caliphate. Islam does not share our liberal, foundationally protestant distinction between neutral public and private spheres. There is no separation of mosque and state.
The dividing line for Muslims is between those who act upon the calls for violence against infidels in the Quran and Hadiths, and those who passively await the emergence of the promised Caliphate. As one “moderate” imam told ex-Jihadist Ed Husain: “our students ask us, when is the caliphate coming? I always say to them, do your part. Qualify, take to community service and the mosque, and the caliphate will come.” In either case, Islam will not sustain our civilization.
While Islam cosplays an Abrahamic religion, it has no common cause with the Christianity that preceded England being a unified kingdom, and formed our high-trust society from pious nuclear family units. The West is not comprised of, as Jewish Marxist journalist Bata Ungar-Sargon told me, a “Judeo-Christian-Muslim worldview”. Such a formulation is theologically incoherent. Islam has, since its inception, counterfeited the beliefs of the Bible to persuade Jews and Christians to convert, rather than live as dhimmis or be killed as kāfir. It has always been a manipulation tactic to spread Islam by the word or the sword.
As Arabist Alfred Guillame explains: after arriving in Medina from Mecca (the Hijra), Muhammad tried to convert the city’s Jewish tribes with little success. He then expelled them from the Hijãz (a region encompassing Mecca and Medina), and stopped praying towards Jerusalem. Muhammad then incorporated the Jewish tradition into Islam by claiming Abraham and Ishmael had founded the pagan Ka’ba monument in Mecca and had always worshiped Allah (Islam, p.41-44). Muhammad retroactively made the patriarchs of the Bible into Muslim prophets, to persuade Jews to submit to Islam.
This was despite Muhammad having a poor understanding of Judaism, accusing the Jews of worshipping Ezra, and thereby accusing them of being polytheists (mushrik) (Ibid, p.52). Hence why Muhammad’s critics accused him of fabricating the Quran “with the help of others”, and passing off “ancient fables which he has had written down” as revelations from god (Surah Al-Furqan – 25:4-5). Even Muhammad’s followers nicknamed him “the ear” because he believed whatever he heard last (Surah Al-Anfal – 8:31; Surah At-Tawbah – 9:61).
Muhammad showed similar disrespect to Christianity. In the account of the first revelation, where an entity compelled Muhammad to recite Quran 96:1-5 while he sheltered in the Cave of Hira, in the mountains outside Mecca, Muhammad thought he had been possessed by a jinn. His wife, Khadija, despite not being present at the incident, convinced him he had been visited by the Angel Gabriel instead. Gabriel reappears in the Quran to rebuke Muhammad for reciting pagan phrases during prayer. But he did not appear when Muhammad returned to Mecca in 630 AD, and ordered the iconoclastic destruction of all Christian paintings save those of the Virgin and Christ Child. The worst sin in Islam is to reduce Allah to an analogy, anthropomorphism, or idol (shirk); making the core faith claim of Christianity, that Christ is God incarnated as His only begotten Son, a heresy in Islam.
Christ is considered a prophet, but only on behalf of Allah (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:253; Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:52). The Quran rejects His divinity and denies the resurrection, depicting Jesus as a con-man who fooled the Romans into thinking He had been crucified (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:116; Surah An-Nisa 4:157; Guillaume, p.9-10). Islamic prophecy says Christ will return on Judgement Day to break His cross, kill the Dajjal (false Messiah), abolish the Jizya (tax on non-believers), and command Christians to submit to Muhammad’s teachings (Sahih al-Bukhari 3448 & 3439; Sahih Muslim 2897 & 2937; Sunan Abi Dawud 4324). This contradicts the Bible, where Christ instructs His disciples, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also” (John 14:6-7). The two claims are irreconcilable, and puts Christians and Muslims in conflict over who can claim Christ for themselves.
This would explain the centuries of war between Christians and Muslims — the legacy of which lingers in the Holy Land. The right door of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem was bricked up by Saladin’s Saracens after the conquest of 1187. Two Muslim families have kept the keys to the remaining entrance, requiring Christians to undergo a humiliation ritual anytime they visit the site of Golgotha and the resurrection, ever since. The Mosque of Omar was built beside it, its minaret designed to be just slightly taller than the Church. A similar act of desecration was committed at the Eastern Gate of the Old City’s walls. The Ottomans bricked up the entrance in 1541, and placed a graveyard in front to impede the return of the Messiah — who, according to prophecy, will enter through that gate, but cannot cross land with dead bodies which could defile him. If Muslims think of relations between religions in these epoch-spanning terms, it would be naive to think that a liberal assimilation programme could overcome these antagonisms within a generation.
The Quran commands Muslims to befriend neither Christians or Jews, lest they be “counted as one of them” (Surah Al-Ma’idah – 5:51). Imams teach that the Torah and Gospel were corrupted, and that Jews and Christians are “pigs and monkeys”. Surahs instruct Muslims to fight these unbelievers (Kuffar) wherever they find them, and force them to either convert or pay the Jizya (Surah At-Tawbah – 9:29; Surah Al-Baqarah – 2:191; Guillaume, p.52). These verses are repeated by Jihadists like Omar Bakri, founder of proscribed group Al-Muhajiroun, who cited them to justify Drummer Lee Rigby’s murder, in 2013. Others tell Muslims “when you meet the disbelievers in battle, strike their necks until you have thoroughly subdued them, then bind them firmly”; and that Allah “will cast horror into the hearts of the disbelievers. So strike their necks and strike their fingertips” (Surah Muhammad – 47:4; Surah Al-Anfal – 8:12).
Muhammad’s Arab contemporaries resented Jews for their proficiency in agriculture and irrigation, which led them to dominate the markets of Mecca and Medina. Muhammad resented Jews for rejecting him, and so commanded his followers to show them no mercy. After the Jewish and Quraysh tribes were defeated at the Battle of Khandaq, Muhammad ordered the male captives be beheaded and the women and children enslaved. When Muhammad besieged Khaybar, he massacred its Jewish inhabitants and subjected survivors to second-class status with the jizya. Zaynab, a widow and first cousin of Mohammad whom he took as his seventh wife, later fed poisoned lamb to Muhammad, killing one of his followers. Zaynab was executed, and Jews today are blamed for the eventual death of the prophet from this fatal wound (Guillaume, p.12, 47-49).
Hadiths tell Muslims that judgement day will not come “until you fight with the Jews”, and that the rocks and trees announce “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.” Only the Gharqad tree will remain silent, “for it is the tree of the Jews” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2926; Sahih Muslim 2922). These prophecies were quoted in the 1988 Hamas Covenant and 2017 revised charter, which explains why the principal motive of the global intifada and Islamic Resistance Movement is the genocide of Jews. It finds willing co-belligerents in the West by pairing pretences of liberating oppressed, colonised peoples with genocidal anti-white racism. This is what those demonstrating for a “free” Palestine on Britain’s streets tacitly support.
Islam appeals to a common Biblical ancestry only to gain purchase in Christian nations. It is a subversive strategy to engender sympathy and power, by means of which to replace the religion of the state and establish a Caliphate. Muslim activists quake with alarm at the public’s increasing recognition of this fact. Crying “Islamophobia” no longer works like a magic spell to silence critics, when incalculable rapes and murders are committed against native Brits and Jews alike. The disproportionality of terrorists who derive their justification from Islamic scripture cannot be denied. Every one of these atrocities is optional: their perpetrators follow an alien ideology that never needed to be here in the first place.
Politicians must now be bold enough to say that Islam does not belong in Britain, or the West more broadly. It follows that its practitioners do not either. Even its non-violent, “moderate” adherents will not reproduce our civilisation by practicing Islam. Only mass renunciation or Muslim remigration can secure the peace and future of Britain. Practices such as Halal slaughter, face veiling, and cousin marriage must be banned. All mosques, madrassas, and Islamic charities must be deprived of public funds. No planning permission should be given to build new mosques or to convert buildings into Islamic centres. Illegal migrants and Islamic criminals clogging up British prisons must be deported. Dual nationals and those eligible for jus sanguinis citizenship in their ancestral lands should have their British citizenship revoked, and be sent home. Peace is impossible while this violent, alien, imperialistic ideology remains in our midst.
