Curtis Yarvin is an American software engineer and political theorist who founded the “neoreactionary” or “Dark Enlightenment” movement under the pseudonym Mencius Moldbug. A vocal critic of contemporary democracy and institutions, he argues that the U.S. should be replaced with a form of monarchy. His ideas have recently gained influence among Silicon Valley elites and key figures within Donald Trump’s political orbit.
